ねらいと目標 This course will cover a wide range of topics in which students will be expected to actively participate. Students will be expected to form small groups to co-operate and collaborate with other to assist with learning. Students will also be expected to, and need to, carry out addition research to prepare reports expanding on the topics at hand. 
内容 The aim of this course is to expand student's knowledge on a variety of topics usually outside their area of study and provide ways to think, develop and apply new knowledge (in English) over a wide range of exercises, reports and presentations.  
テキスト No text will be set for this course, Material will be provided as and when necessary. 
参考文献 As no text will be set for this course, students will need to, and are expected to, communicate and assist each other with all set tasks. This will be important in securing a passing grade for this course. 
成績評価方法 As there will be no formal end of semester test, all student grades will be based on the following criteria

a) Attendance. Attendance only will not result in a passing grade. Other criteria must be met as well!!
b) Ability and Aptitude.
c) Interaction and participation between all within groups and other students.
d) Attitude towards learning (including being inquisitive and willing to try new ideas).
e) Preparation of reports and presentations in English.

No percentages will apply to each criteria as this will be an all-encompassing grade based on the above and other criteria.

授業時間外における学習方法 Real learning takes place outside the classromm. Much can be learnt just by being observant and taking notice of your surroundings.
 
授業のキーワード Think logically. Speak logically. Use logic to question and find answers to everything. Then your mind and conversational ability will expand.
