ねらいと目標 This course will cover a wide range of topics which students will be expected to actively participate in.
Students will need to perform additional own research on topics and prepare reports expanding on topics covered.

 
内容 The aim of this course is to improve students knowledge of subjects usually outside their areas of study and to give a grounding in ways to think, develop and apply their knowledge (in English) over a wide range of topics. 
テキスト No text will be set for this course. Handouts will be given when necessary. 
参考文献 As no text will be set for this course, students will be expected to carry out their own research into the topics presented throughout this course.

This will be important in acquiring a passing grade for this course.
 
成績評価方法 Grades will be based on the following criteria:
Attendance: 20%
Ability and aptitude:20%
Interaction between all present:20%
Reports and homework:20%
Attitude towards learning:20%
Obviously each non-attendance means grading percentages will change.
